I'm learning a lot from just watching Abe and Jeff. That's what good bassists and guitarists are supposed to do.

Re: Vinnie with Richman/Laborial/Tavaglione DVD download!!!!
I'm glad you guys are digging it so far.
The trading on the Scofield tune is pretty sick. Not to mention the drum solo intro - good lord. I think Abe is actually yelling "ATTACK!" to him as he's blowing, then a midst the chaos Abe come in perfectly in sync and they start playing time. It's pretty amazing.
The tune in 11 at the end is amazing as well (6/8 + 5/8 I think).
Of note: Before they start the tune, Vinnie actually tells Jeff that on the drum solo he wants it in 11. When they play the tune though, Jeff looks at Abe and asks for "16th notes" in 4 when they finally get to the drum solo. Vinnie just plays time, looks at Jeff and say "Eleven.". THEN they play the 11 vamp and Vinnie take off.
It's just nuts.

Also, the Jeff Richman album "One Two" is an approximation of what's going on here, musically. Found that album on Spotify a couple of years ago, and it's been my favorite ever since.

I was under the impression that Kamaroon was in this set but it is not included on this file.
Am I missing something?

Jean, that's the tune in 11? Should be the last song in the set.

What tune did your previous clip come from? I was looking for those moments but didn't catch any.

OH !
You say that little clip that Steve posted is from the second set? Dig it.
Sorry, I thought that was Kamaroon.....How can I be bummed out
having this great first set....
But, I was sooooo looking forward to that 2nd set tune....as I described
in my previous post, Vinnie plays the coolest, most seemless transitions
from one time groove to a metrically modulated time groove.
STEVE, you know what I'm talking about.....tell 'em what they are missing.
( I only know as I have the audio boot)
