I always thought Pages was Jeff. There was that story about how Vinnie got fired after putting in all the time for the rehearsals. I can relate.

Love this old Don Ellis stuff.
Don't think this is RH, but it's awesome to see, total 70s live music. She rocks!

Huge fan of that album, Ralph plays on "Tell Me".
Vinnie plays on "Sesatia" and "OCOE"
Jeff on "Need A Hero", "Automatic" and "Come On Home"
Mike Baird on "Fearless" and "Only A Dreamer"
But I could go wrong, I did see the credit of that great album since ages !!!
Yes Vinnie has been fired Jay Graydon, and Jeff pee on Jay's bag of effect for protesting as he did put Vinnie on that session.
I come from Tain, Vinnie, Omar, Jeff, Fish, Stewart, and many more...

I had the privilege of studying under Ralph at MI in 93-94. His Even In the Odds book was a game changer for sure.

There's a visual element to Zappa's stuff that I've never picked up on before...probably why I've never understood his albums.

Ralph has a new book out.
Re: Ralph Humphey
The 1977 Don Ellis footage has Dave Crigger on drum set, not Ralph.
Re: Ralph Humphey
Ralph has passed away. Owen Goldman posted a FB picture of him and Ralph. Amazing talent. Great teacher. He will be missed. Thanks you Ralph.
