I made a vid for a buddy of mine.. Wanted to see If I could integrate my Little Kodak camera with my studio setup..
You guys might get a chuckle out of it. I assumed this was a common lick that would be all over the net.. but haven't found someone showing it yet..

ha ha! Good stuff Chris. Great off-the-cuff presentation of a cool lick. I used to shy away from stuff like that because I thought it was cheating -- thought I needed to get the double-hits on the bass in there all Vinnie like -- but no one every can tell the difference when you're up to speed.
BTW, your kit sounds sublime.

Vinnie actually plays that one quite a bit, he also drops both left hand strokes at the end and replaces them with kick. Elvin was playing these licks in the 50s! .gif)

Love it!! Awesome flooring you got going on too...!
Great explanation, killer drum sound, clean playing. Just beautiful the whole way around.
I also dig how relaxed you are with the sticks and over all. Would love to hear your playing in context!

Thanks guys... I was quite pleased how the audio turned out.. I only used my new Uad tape simulator plug in on the tracks and a tiny bit of verb..
I love how my camera shakes every time I hit my kick.. Thunder kick... haha.. Need to work on my camera angles..lol

i almost do the exact same thing, with the little triplet extensions and all, except: RLRLLF. you can use that sticking to get some accents in on that third partial. i should work switching it up with the paradiddle diddle. different textures, and you could probably can get A LOT of mileage out of just those two stickings.

Re: Modded Paradiddle Diddle thing..
The Paradiddle diddle lick was designed for folks with weak left hands haha,, and slow feet,,.. None of these foot doubles or LL's haha
I've always had trouble with things like your version and Gadd's Ratamacue thing..
RlrrlK is the lazy mans way to sound impressive haha...
Loved that fill Cliff did though...
