i almost do the exact same thing, with the little triplet extensions and all, except: RLRLLF. you can use that sticking to get some accents in on that third partial. i should work switching it up with the paradiddle diddle. different textures, and you could probably can get A LOT of mileage out of just those two stickings.

cliff almond play this fill during the opening measure of this tune http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZOCdrwGch4

Thanks Miki C... It probably has to do more with the gazillion dollars in mics and pres that I recorded it with than Moon gels.. haha
I appreciate the compliments on the sound alot, I slaved long and hard to get the right stuff happening over the years..
Acoustically they definitely don't sound that good...

Thanks Rob,.. I play mostly in a top 40 rock type band,, Don't think guys wanna see me playing Sweet child of mine haha but, Here's my bands webpage with video.. Audio isn't as good.. haha,

http://www.wix.com/stereo1/scully-and-the-crossbones

Here's my u tube channel some stuff's better than others...

http://www.youtube.com/user/MrHostilest ... ature=mhum

The hard part of sticking up a lick video is getting positive feedback,.... that's great, and it drives you to want to do more..
But realistically I'm gonna have to spend some time to work on something that sounds good, and is unique as to not look like an ass just to feed the ego haha.

Thanks guys...

Oh ya then u have to deal with Joey Jordinson is way better than you are douchebags.. on your u tube page
haha

On my page Chris about linear, I got "Mike Johnston invented that" So, Joey or Mike or Travis will always do it better. :D I find it funny the post are from 20 year olds usually.

Ya. I got the you're a Mike Johnston clone.. He's taken Linear drumming to a level no one else has from a fan of his.. Have I checked out his camps? People have flown in from around the world to see him..He's got a DW endorsement and his own sticks Blah blah stuff..

I deleted them and sent Mike a message that some douchebag is going around and bashing others videos associating his name...
If it were me I wouldn't want that kind of negative association with my name..

To Julian.. I'm using Neuman Km 84's as overheads, shure sm 57's on top and bottom snare, senheisser 421 on 10inch rack tom,akg 214's on 12 and 16 inch toms, neumann tlm 49's as room mics. studio projectsc4 hihat mic.. I don't even think used it...Audix d6 in front hole of kick, sehneissr 601 on inside of kick..
Oh's were set up recorderman technique

For pre's I'm using 8 LP audio design pre's It's a new company I have some prototypes, with a Uad La610 signature addition and 2 studio projects vtb 1's
I run them into Believe it or not 2 behringer ada 8000's with the pre's turned all the way off. From there into an RME digiface via lightpipe,
I recorded into Cubase 6, and the only plugins i used was Uad2 studer a 800 tape sim on each channel and Wizoo 2 reverb..
