I think a key ability with online instruction is being able to channel smiley faces, lulz and exclamation points into a unified presentation of drop n go licks. No easy feat.

I think he eventually will. He is still playing a lot though and the recent clinics and masterclasses probably pay well and he seemed to really enjoy those. He gave my group several hours overtime. He didn't have to. He was just into it. Something I can relate to as a teacher as well. It's still going to new places, playing and meeting people. Teaching, playing..... It's all the same really.

Yes! and Yes!
I was at that show and Dave killed it. I've seen Keith with Oz a few times and as much as he owns that gig, seeing/hearing Dave play with him was, of course, a whole different thing. He and Haslip were locked and blew the place away.
They played a blues tune at one point and Dave's fills were some of the finest loose phrasing things I've heard from him in a long time. Almost Toss Panos realm stuff. Overall a great show.
