John Bonham appreciation thread
Re: John Bonham appreciation thread
I was listening to an interview a week or so ago on the drummer's resource podcast with Rodney Howard and he was talking about how Bonham was a Zigaboo Modeliste fanatic. Not sure if this can be "verified" or not, but if it's true, that makes a ton of sense to me. It also just feels like a good vibes thing to know in some weird way.

Never heard this b4...the SNARE just amazes me! So definitive,
so signature, so Bonham! Still sounds better than anything
today. Only AVHalen has this type of snare definition to me...both
playing similar Ludwigs. I got a boner for Bonham knowing how
old this is...some say this is the 1970 Royal Albert Hall performance???
Either way...that drum sound is HUGE beyond words!!!
...JP Jones bass playing is so underrated...the Royal Hall first tune
is JP blazing...so locked into Bonham's groove.
