Charles Collins, who played with everyone in the 70s and set the Philly sound. Never heard of him but that's a heckuva career.

Don't dig the ride nor the cymbals he used on this gig. Other than that his solo was killer. Loved the way he built and phrased it out. unique cat.

I'm sure Paul posted that concert already, but damn, way too good !!!
My favorite song starts at 35mn40, "In The Crease", Joey's solo is just WOW !!!
The whole band is burning no joke, Jazz at its best.

WOW...have not kept up with John. I keep thinking it is 1985 when he gigged at my
college with this unknown cat named Dave Weckl. I brought my drum teacher to see
Chick Corea and after I was blown away with Dave's effortless playing thinking I scored
HUGE points with my teacher...his comment, "That bass player was flawless...who
the hell is that guy!"

^ Too much of a clone to me. He's basically just trying to copy the essence of Weckl.
I have no idea who this guy is, musically, other than a watered-down Weckl playing a mix of Hard-Wired and In The Pocket.
