Wowzers! Having played and heard Killer Joe eleven-ty bazillion times, I wasn't sure I was going to like this clip. But the arrangement was awesome! Lots of really cool lines and backgrounds, and the feel changes were nice as well. Nice playing by Gavin almost goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway. Like!
Moderation's all well and good, just don't overdo it.

Re: Holy shit, Gavin...
That was great! I was wondering who did the arranging as well as if the track was available as a play-along....but by the time I finished watching I thought to myself- eh, forget it...maybe in another lifetime...LOL

Thanks Guys,
the arrangement is by the amazing Laurence Cottle - who also played bass on this.
He also did "Quite Firm" a track I played at the MD Fest a couple of years ago.
cheers

Brilliant stuff, Gavin! How the hell do you get that 12" snare (it is a 12", yeah?) to sound so deep and fat?
Cheers!
