There's nothing amazingly new at NAMM this year, from the coverage that I've seen. Nothing new from Zildjian or Yamaha. A new Craig Blundell snare from Mapex and the new Benny Greb snares from Sonor have been the highlights for me.

Anyone try the Pearl electronic kits?
For a realistic acoustic substitute they seem to be the ones to beat in the future. Not sure why they aren't pushing these things harder.
