Wore out this album on cassette. Great tunes and musicianship.

I had it on vinyl and then got it on CD. I too listened to it incessantly, and my playing has been overly influenced by Smith's drumming (as well as Wackerman's) ever since. I'm still trying to cleanse myself of it. I feel like such a copycat sometimes.
I just related to that record too much I guess. Everyone on it was playing at such a high level. Henderson's solos are incredible too.

vibe...anyone know that tune? It was my favs back in the day...

Edge of Insanity is pretty blazing...then the work with Y&T (Ten) and The Storm.
Arguably the most innovative rock drummer in the late 70s-early 80's...Captured
killed it.

Haven't heard this in years, used to play this constantly, picked it apart. He was still in rock drummer mode then. Missed catching them on this tour, kicked myself for months.





Same with this album, some of his best jazz-rock playing.
