When I see these videos with the African's grooves, I like the fact our playing if fresh. We were rehearsing the songs, specially for Linley, me and the video's stuff, while recording in the same time. From that experience I can see why it's sometime better to have songs not too much played before a record session. Obviously in a live setting it's another story, and the evolution will come gig after gig if the music calls for it.

Anyway, yeah here I use the Custom Dark Complex Ride 21", I just love that baby.

I remember that we were in Montreal before that gig in NYC.
Though I don't have that much memory of that (long) US tour that was hard for me because JZ was giving hard time.
I remember I did post on the old HoD my feeling as I was kind of sad...
Some day later the GREAT Peter Erskine sent me an e-mail for cheering me up, explaining me the way these old "be-bop grumpy guys", like Joe, acted with younger musician, it's not personal, it's only for the music.

It's like on Godfather, it's not personal, it's the business.

I knew that you played with Zawinul but listening to that live recording refreshed my memory and I really dug your performance.

Here with my "Bordeaux Quintet", I have this new band since 2/3 years now, I should go in studio soon with these musicians for recording my fourth album, I can't wait !!!
