Never heard this b4...Jeff sounds so mad cool it is ridiculous!
@7:50...WOW..."This is the first tour we've made any money!"
Reality is painful...such a contrast to what most think...
This guy interviewing gets close to some awkward questions...

Nice cut Rodge...love that snare tone on Big Bone
TOTO stopped playing All Us Boys in concert a long time
ago which I never understood--this is one of their best
rockers and Jeff kills this groove
Happy Birthday Jeffrey!

This and 'The Lady In My Life' are my favourite JP tracks.

I'm sure that the story that Curt B tells about Vinnie fixing Jeff's hi-hat is the other way round. Jeff fixed it for Vinnie.

Vinnie tells that story, so from the source himself!

Re: OFFICIAL JEFF PORCARO THREAD
We haven't had a "Jeff sighting" in some time...I'm surprised nobody posted these nuggets before (unless they are on pages where the videos/recordings are no longer available).
I'm not sure whether this or the Steely Dan "Katy Lied" album is the first time I ever really heard Jeff. A couple things really stand out to me:
1) This was the first recording I was aware of where the drummer played the snare and tom in unison on a backbeat to add some depth. At the time it was pretty hip to me. I still love the sound.
2) Jeff does some real subtle but very cool things when playing the head of the tune (like above). I'm a real big fan of the last iteration (starting at 3:57).
These next two are contrasts in style. They just show what a master Jeff was at time/feel/groove. Listen how on top of the beat he plays on "Daybreak" and how deep he plays on "Flower Of Bahia (Flor Da Bahia)". They are both from the same album ("Sergio Mendes Brasil '86")

When in doubt...roll.
