Can't say I listen much to Joni now, but she was a huge favourite and influence in my teens including those who played with her.

Never cared much for Metheny, though.

Herlin is a walking/talking/playing history lesson. Big fan of his when he played in the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis
