My guess would be that I'm sure DT is set up as a corporation (perhaps an LLC? That's how my band does it), with Portnoy recieving royalties from the band's inception up until the time he left, and Mangini recieving them for everything he was a part of. It would make the most sense. But I'm also not sure how they have it set up.

Gnarly rig he has for that gig too.

Yep, Mangini's kit is pretty gnarly.

I would assume that DT fans would settle for nothing less than an eyesore.

I think that it was very entertaining, I'm not suprised by the 20 pages.

Just my imagination:
I don´t think he takes the 20% of the band incomes. If I were them, I wouldn´t do it.
I think he will be payed a GOOD salary and a percentage of different bussines of DT (record sales, live tickets...)

Now, I want a video camera hidden in the table of the negotiations !! :lol:

I still remember Portnoy's setup with the three Bass drums (the side-by-side double kit setup that was like two kits in one), that was shown in the Tama ads back when he came out with it.
