Selling my PHX

Postby peterdb » Fri Apr 29, 2011 6:11 am

Hey guys, i am getting ready to sell my phx kit. i bought it new last year. the set is virtually flawless, one small dent in bass drum and another little spot rubbed off the bass drum hoop (where the double pedal extension arm touched it). other than that, they're beautiful. the kit is 10x7, 12x8, 16x15, 22x18 - they have the ASH outer wrap. flat out gorgeous drums.
i cannot find a precedence in terms of used pricing on these. anybody have an idea what you think they're worth? also, anybody interested? brand new, the best pricing on this shell pack configuration is about 5,800. i was thinking around 4k is fair? what do you all think? thank you!
peter
(the reason for selling is that the past year and a half of little to no work has taken it's toll on me, i have to raise funds)

$4,000 seems more than fair to me. Good luck selling, and sorry to hear about your income situation. Times are definitely tough.

I would start out at 4k then over a two month period drop the price down to your bottom line. Are you going to list on Ebay and CL? I've found in order to move things quickly on Ebay and CL you have to be willing to eat a large percent of your initial investment. Otherwise you'll have to be patient and wait for the right buyer.

Are you selling them with cases as well?

Gorgeous kit. Sorry to hear you can't keep her.

That's a beautiful, beautiful kit. I do wish I had the money to spend, but the best of luck with unloading that baby. I highly doubt it will take long.

I don't think he is intending to sell the baby.
