It's about a number of things that are wrong with the music industry. It touches on a number of things, manufactured talents, live music, how record companies control the available music, students of music. It's great.

It's Hulu, so realize that there may be problems viewing out of the country etc. apologies for that.

"Hype!" , about the grunge culture in Seattle. Havent watched it myself but heard that its awesome from my bandmates who are very much into grunge.

"Hype!" , about the grunge culture in Seattle. Havent watched it myself but heard that its awesome from my bandmates who are very much into grunge.

It's definitely very good if you were a teen or 20something during that era or are just fascinated with that scene. If you're none of the above, I think it will probably end up being a lot of minutiae that bores you to tears. I was in college when that stuff hit so I thought it was great to have that piece of history so well documented.

If you love punk and grew up on it like I did in the early 80s, the Minutemen documentary We Jam Econo is one of the most personally engaging documentaries I've ever seen. It's one of my favorite music documentaries ever.

"Rockers" is a 1978 film from Jamaica that follows Leroy Horsemouth Wallace, a drummer for Burning Spear at the time, through a few fictional days in the J.A. Its not a documentary, but this indispensable Reggae film is about as close to a look at the real, daily life of Kingstons music residents you will ever find. Its chock full of amazing musical moment. Grabs you right from the very beginning with an amazing shot of a Niyabinghi drumming and chanting circle. This film is 420 friendly.
