Chuck Ruff , drumming great with Edgar Winter Group

...word is trickling in on the net that the great Chuck Ruff passed away today after a long illness .
He was a big inspiration in my youth . I saw him 3 times with Edgar ...even got a broken Pro-Mark 2B of his after a show .

RIP.

His playing on Frankenstein influenced me so much! Of course as a kid, I had no idea Edgar was playing all those timbales!

He played with Sammy Hagar too, apparently.
