According to his website, guitar pioneer Wayne Krantz is doing some dates in Los Angeles soon. May 21st at the The Temple Bar in Santa Monica, and May 23rd and 24th at the Baked Potato. He brings with him a stellar rhythm section consisting of Tal Wilkenfield and drummer Cliff Almond (both amazing and well worth checking out). I’m going to be attending at least one of these shows. To me , a really original guy, his hard work on the rythm and melodies is unique, his sound.-To me he`s like Coltrane, but on guitar, pushing every record to new , but intrsting, taking risk with no fear, trusting in the moment, very spiritual.-He is a big influence on my music.-
