Michael Buble has a new cd produced by David Foster and features a slew of name players including Vinnie. The cd is self titled, Michael Buble. There is behind the scenes footage on the disc in Quicktime, not sure if there are shots of Vinnie in the studio though. The cd is in the swing mode doing all covers from Crazy Little Thing Called Love to Just the Way You Look Tonight.

Tower of Power release a new studio cd “The Oakland Zone”, the first with Garibaldi back in the drum chair.
Marcus Miller releases “The Ozell Tapes”, a 2 cd set featuring Poogie Bell on drums. This disc was orginally only available from Marcus direct and Audiophile Imports.

Chick Corea has just released a 2 cd set compiled from the Birthday bash at the Blue Note NY from last year, it features a few tracks from each of the bands that performed including 2 tracks from the Acoustic Band and 1 from the Quartets band featuring Gadd. The cd is called Rendezvous In New York.

Since Randy still isn’t ready to post news yet (J/K Randy) I’ll tell you guys about the Steve Jordan DVD Hal Leanord is putting out. Some forum posters already saying good things about it.
BTW I recently saw the 3rd Weckl tape from the Carl Fischer series about getting a good drum sound. VERY educational. I hope they put all 3 out on a DVD soon. Highly recommended.

Looks like Karizma’s Dave Garfield has a New CD on the way. The CD titled “Giving Back” has an impressive group of musicians, with Simon Phillips and Vinnie Colaiuta sharing the drum chair.
Also looks like Thomas Lang will have a DVD out this summer along with a Marco Minneman and Johnny Rabb colabrotive DVD as well. Look for an update with links with that stuff here soon.

Jing Chi bassist Jimmy Haslip mentions on his forums right here the track list for the upcoming Jing Chi LIVE cd. There will be 4 tunes from the studio disc, and 4 others not on it.
Also Hudson Music put up a slew of Quicktime clips from the upcoming DVD release of the Drummers Collective Anniversary show. They can be found right here. The DVD is due in May.

I uploaded a video of a trio I’m in called “Altered”. This tune is a bit…different. A lot of different feels under the guitar solo with an interesting melody out.
