Dave Weckl’s news page has been updated with news of more dates with the Electric Band as well as a new CD to be recorded possibly in late summer/early fall. Dave also mentions his latest batch of instructional vids will be released on a DVD with additional footage.
Tour dates have also been added.

The third video lesson here at HOD is NOW AVAILABLE HERE. This one demonstrates those alternating hand-foot rolls we see guys doing these days. As usual Latest Micorsoft Media Player required (Mac version available there as well). For those that didn’t get them, here are links to the First, and second lessons.

J2K records mailed us off a press release of sorts announcing their CD “Cave men” with bassist J. K. Kleutgens and Antti Kotikoski. The CD also features Vinnie Colaiuta and Steve Taviglione. (Of course Derek mentioned this on the fourms about two weeks ago.) Anyways more info and sound clips available at the J2K Records web site.

Been wanting to do this for a while and had the opportunity recently: film a bunch of drum tips and release clips for each one periodically. Went to see Dave’s band last night at Catalina’s. He said they were recording all the shows “for an eventual release”. Gary Meek has replaced Brandon Fields and he held his own and then some. Great player. Dave was beyond impressive, he was ridiculous.
